Keyboard Shortcuts
Opterius Mail supports a comprehensive set of keyboard shortcuts for power users. Shortcuts let you navigate, read, compose, and manage mail without touching the mouse. Most shortcuts are single keys or two-key sequences.

Tips for Using Shortcuts Effectively
Two-key sequences: Shortcuts like G then I (go to Inbox) use a "prefix + key" pattern. Press G first — the status bar briefly shows "Go to..." — then press the second key within 1 second. If you wait too long, the sequence times out.
Focus requirements: Most shortcuts require the keyboard focus to be on the main webmail content area, not inside a text field. If you are typing in a search box, input field, or the compose editor, letter shortcuts like R and D will type into the field rather than trigger the action. Press Escape to leave the text field, then use the shortcut.
Compose shortcuts in the editor: When you are inside the TipTap compose editor, most navigation shortcuts are inactive (to allow normal typing). Formatting shortcuts like Ctrl+B work in the editor.
Customizing shortcuts: Shortcut customization is not available in the current version. All shortcuts are fixed.
Browser Conflicts
Some browser or OS shortcuts may conflict with Opterius Mail's shortcuts:
| Conflict | Solution |
|---|---|
Ctrl+A (browser: address bar focus) |
Click into the message list first |
Delete (browser: back navigation on some browsers) |
This should not conflict in a web app context |
F (Firefox: find in page if using legacy shortcuts) |
Disable browser find shortcut in browser settings |
If a shortcut you expect to work is not responding, check whether a browser extension is intercepting it. Try in an incognito/private window to rule out extensions.
