Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all services provided by Host Server SRL ("Opterius") and defines what is and is not permitted when using our hosting infrastructure and software. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy.
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice or refund.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not use Opterius services to host, store, transmit, or distribute:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors — reported immediately to law enforcement
- Pirated software, media, or intellectual property in violation of copyright law
- Malware, ransomware, trojans, keyloggers, or any malicious code
- Phishing pages or content designed to deceive users into revealing personal or financial information
- Counterfeit goods pages or content designed to impersonate legitimate brands
- Content that is illegal under Romanian law, EU law, or the laws of the jurisdiction where your users are located
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use Opterius services to engage in:
- Spam — sending unsolicited bulk email or messages of any kind
- DDoS attacks — launching or participating in distributed denial-of-service attacks against any target
- Port scanning or network intrusion targeting systems you do not own or have explicit written permission to test
- Botnets — operating or participating in botnet infrastructure
- Cryptocurrency mining without the explicit consent of the resource owner
- Credential stuffing, brute-force attacks, or unauthorised access attempts against any system
- Resource abuse — consuming excessive server resources in a way that degrades service for other users
- Circumventing security measures of any system, network, or account
3. Network and Email
- You must not send bulk or commercial email without verified opt-in consent from recipients
- Open mail relays are not permitted
- You must not forge email headers or sender addresses (email spoofing)
- You must maintain valid reverse DNS (PTR) records for any mail servers you operate
4. Reseller Responsibilities
If you use Opterius Panel to provide hosting services to your own customers, you are responsible for ensuring that your customers comply with this AUP. You must:
- Incorporate acceptable use terms in your own customer agreements that are at least as restrictive as this policy
- Respond promptly to abuse complaints forwarded to you by us
- Take immediate action to suspend customers who violate acceptable use terms
You are liable for the actions of your customers on your infrastructure.
5. Reporting Abuse

Please include the affected IP address, domain name, and a description of the abuse. We investigate all reports and take appropriate action.
6. Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Investigate suspected violations of this policy
- Remove or disable access to any content that violates this policy
- Suspend or terminate accounts immediately and without notice for serious violations
- Report illegal activity to law enforcement and cooperate fully with investigations
Account suspension or termination for AUP violations does not entitle you to a refund.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
